Please contact me if you have any questions about Floatation Therapy or would like to book a session in the Hope Floats floatation pod.

In order for our bodies to heal we require rest and relaxation, and the sensory deprivation tank provides the ideal environment.

Floatation Therapy

Reported benefits of floating:

  • Improves focus and concentration

  • Improves the quality of sleep

  • Speeds recovery from injury

  • Helps to boost the immune system

  • Improves focus and problem-solving skills

  • Reduces lactic acid build up following exercise

  • Reduces feelings of stress and anxiety

It's difficult to put into words the way floatation makes you feel - it’s such a unique experience. You'll love your first float, but the main benefits are achieved with regular sessions over time. The more exposure a person has to floatation the more profound the effects.

The benefits of floating

Back to top button

Floatation therapy

In the 1950s, American neuropsychologist Dr John C. Lilly developed a sensory deprivation tank to explore whether external stimulus is needed to keep the mind conscious. This was the birth of the first floatation tank.

Floatation therapy gives the body and mind the ultimate relaxing environment. The pods provide total sensory deprivation to all the senses. The pod is light and sound proof, the temperature of the water is perfectly matched to body temperature, and the 500kg of Epsom salt in the water enables the body to float without trying. This removes all stimuli on the body enabling it to relax completely and reset.

Floatation Therapy is unlike anything you've experienced before, unless you’ve swum in the Dead Sea!
